Rebecca Thibodeaux is one of those rare people who excel at any endeavor to which she sets her mind. Rebecca was born in Los Alamos, New Mexico however, spent most of her primary education years in Houston after her father was transferred to NASA to work on the Space Shuttle program. Her mother was the head of the social studies department at her high school. After graduating from University of Houston with a BBA in Consumer Science and Marketing, she entered the personnel profession and rose to the level of Marketing Director by the age of 25. After taking time off to raise her two small children, Rebecca ventured into a business from which she could work from home and joined Mary Kay. At Mary Kay, Rebecca became the fastest person to become Executive Director in company history. As a result of this success, she was asked to train other Executive Directors and Director on D.I.S.C., overcoming objections, how to turn a “No” into “Yes”, time management, numbers and F.E.A.R.
With this platform and training, she and her mother-in-law began a jewelry design and manufacturing company selling bridge line jewelry. Starting the company with only a credit card, they started doing home shows. Rebecca called Neiman Marcus and met with senior buyers of bridge line accessories. They were so impressed with her and the product, they allowed the company to do trunk shows and agreed to put the line in the stores if sales met certain milestone. After two shows, Neiman Marcus picked up the line. Within one year of beginning the company, they were picked up by a show room in New York and picked up by Macy’s, Dillard’s and J. C. Penny. Her line was also sold internationally and purchased by famous designers Betsy Johnson and Donna Karan. In their second year they had exceeded over $1,000,000 in sales and 10 years later they sold the company.
Rebecca was content focusing on her children’s high school careers until she was continuously requested to help with various projects by friends and colleagues. As a result, she started TBDX to provide consulting services for businesses. Most recently she assisted a personnel makeover, sales and leadership training that led to an eight fold increase in revenues. Rebecca is passionate about sales, developing leaders to becoming the best version of themselves and creating the culture for success.
